Genesis 2:18
And the LORD God said, [It is] not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
• This is a relational statement, not a marital statement.
• Adam is already in a blissful relationship with God.
• We are designed to be in a community with one another.
Ecclesiastes 4:9-11
Two [are] better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. 10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him [that is] alone when he falleth; for [he hath] not another to help him up. 11 Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm [alone]? 12 And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
• Concerning labor, when two or more people are working together a type of synergy kicks in and the work of two people can seem like three or more are doing the job.
• When two people are in close proximity to each other in the cold, they can stay warmer than if it were only one person.
• Two in a battle is better than one because if the one gets knocked down, while getting back up the other one can overpower the enemy.
Psalms 68:6
God setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry [land].
• Maybe the home that you live in occupied with those who oppose you, because of your religious conviction of believing in Jesus Christ.
• He will never leave us nor forsake us, and we will feel alone and abandoned at times, and it would be better if we had a brother or a sister to come along side of us and help us.
• The Lord will make a way, and we have the Holy Spirit to make intercession for us.
Exodus 4:10-16
And Moses said unto the LORD, O my Lord, I[am] not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I [am] slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.
11 And the LORD said unto him, Who hath mademan's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD? 12 Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say. 13 And he said, O my Lord, send, I pray thee, by the hand [of him whom] thou wilt send. 14 And the anger of the LORD was kindledagainst Moses, and he said, [Is] not Aaron the Levite thy brother? I know that he can speakwell. And also, behold, he cometh forth to meet thee: and when he seeth thee, he will be glad in his heart. 15 And thou shalt speak unto him, and putwords in his mouth: and I will be with thy mouth, and with his mouth, and will teachyou what ye shall do. 16 And he shall be thy spokesman unto the people: and he shall be, [even] he shall be to thee instead of a mouth, and thou shalt be to him instead of God.
• Moses was afraid because he didn't feel like his speech was adequate, this ostracized him in many ways albeit.
• But God sent him his brother Aaron, to be his mouth until he could grow in his faith in the Lord to speak for himself.
Proverbs 27:6,9,17
Faithful [are] the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy [are] deceitful....9
Ointment and perfume rejoice the heart: so [doth] the sweetness of a man's friend by hearty counsel....17 Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance
of his friend.

Matthew 26:36-46

went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not
pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done. 43 And he came and found them
asleep again:for their eyes were heavy. 44 And he left them, and went away again, and
prayed the third time, saying the same words. 45 Then cometh he to his disciples,
and saith unto them, Sleep on {5720} now, and take [your] rest {5732}: behold, the
hour is at hand,and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. 46 Rise,
let us be going: behold, he is at hand that doth betray me.
• Jesus was not alone.
• Even in His time deep need, it was better to have friends around, even if they could not help Him.
• It was better to be with trusted friends than to be alone.
• Jesus was in a state of deep depression, distress, and sorrow, so if you ever suffer from such a state when you are persecuted or alone, don't feel like you have to tough it out and not to sometimes weep.
• If you have anyone who is a true "believer" in Christ Jesus to help you to carry your burdens, seek them out, and ask for help.
Hebrews 10:23-25
Let us hold fast the profession of [our] faith without wavering; (for he [is] faithful that promised; ) 24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some [is]; but
exhorting [one another]: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
• If you have anyone to help you to carry your burdens, seek them out, and ask for help.
• I know that this one may be tough too, but if at all you can find a Godly assembly, go there.
James 5:16

• Even if they don't ask, forgive them to release yourself from being bound up in hatred.

• And he that taketh not his cross ... - When persons were condemned to be crucified, a part of the sentence was that they should carry the cross on which they were to die to the place of execution. Thus, Christ carried his, until he fainted from fatigue and exhaustion. See notes at Matthew 27:31.
• The cross was usually composed of two rough beams of wood, united in the form of this figure of a cross It was an instrument of death. See the notes at Matthew 27:31-32.
• To carry it was burdensome, was disgraceful, was trying to the feelings, was an addition
to the punishment. So "to carry the cross" is a figurative expression, denoting that we must endure whatever is burdensome, or is trying, or is considered disgraceful, in following Christ.
• It consists simply in doing our duty, let the people of the world think of it or speak of it as they may. It does not consist in making trouble for ourselves, or doing things merely "to be opposed;" it is doing just what is required of us in the Scriptures, let it produce whatever shame, disgrace, or pain it may. This every follower of Jesus is required to do.
