• Everything is a result of a cosmic accident
And this is what we are taught in schools today, that we came from “Goo” to you by way of the Zoo. This idea that everything came into being by a cosmic accident is ridiculous of course, therefore, our children have no sense of destiny.
• We are the result of a deliberate design by a Designer
That implies that we have an accountability to that Designer, all of the different worldviews fall into one of these two categories.
4 Basic Questions
There are also four basic questions common to every individual:
• Who am I?
• Where did I come from?
• Why am I here? and,
• Where am I going when I die?
These four basic questions everyone one of us has a belief or an attitude about, and it's critical because it will determine our destiny.

It’s interesting that the Genesis Anticipates All False Philosophies
• Atheism (Genesis says the world was created by God)
• Pantheism (Genesis says God is transcendent of His creation and is distinguishable from it!)
• Polytheism (Genesis says there is One God)
• Materialism (Genesis says that matter had a beginning and will have an end)
• Humanism (Genesis says that God, not man, is the ultimate reality, we are the pawns and the prize in a cosmic warfare)
• Evolutionism (Genesis says “God created” there are mutations in Gods creation. But Evolution teachers Bio-genesis which is rebutted by Genesis, because God skillfully created all things)
• Uniformism (Genesis says God intervenes in His creation, among scientist, they say that things have always been the way that they are. The says, that God intervenes not only at creation but during history. When you look at the Moon and other heavenly bodies through a telescope, you see them with pockmarks, bitterly beaten up it’s clear to see that the solar system was a rough neighborhood. So, uniformism is a suspect premise even within a scientific context.)

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
• Now if you embrace that sentence you will have no problems with the rest of the Bible, if you have problems with that sentence you will have all kinds of difficulties.
It’s interesting, that in the Hebrew there are 7 Words, and 28 Letters, Hebrews goes right to left, all languages flow towards Jerusalem.

• Nations that are East of Jerusalem write from Right to Left
• Nations that are West of Jerusalem write from Left to Right
• There are over 300,000 Letters in the Torah, but we are taking 28 of them here, and we actually could be spending a week of study on just these letters.
• Notice the first word is:
• Beresheet = In beginning…
Bara = Create out of nothing...
• There are 3 different words that could be used here
• Asa = to make, or fashion, fabricate of (something else)
• Yatsa = form (Isaiah 43:7 has all three)
• But bara is used here meaning to...create out of nothing
Elohim
All three of these words are used in Isaiah 43:7, and they each have a different sense.
But the other thing that I would like to comment on without trying to beat this to death, is the word “Elohim” the word God here.
• The word Elohim = God; this is a plural noun, used as a singular (as in a cluster of grapes).
Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:
Eloah is the singular form of the word Elohim and yet, it’s not used here.
Certain categories of Hebrew nouns suggest the plural by the “im” ending.
• The “im” gives the word it’s plural form, such as cherub is singular and cherubim is plural, seraph is singular and seraphim is plural, etc.
• What's strange about its usage in the Bible is that it is used as a singular noun, it technically is a grammatical mistake.
• It’s a hint of the Trinity in the first few words in Genesis.
Some Fundamental Questions
• Is the Universe ~15 billion years old? Conventional Astronomers believe this theory (Hubble Telescope, et al.)
• Was it created in 6 days? 144 hours?
• Chuck Missler comments, that he believes both cases.
• Both may be true
• In Einstein's Relativity, who’s clock are we talking about?
• There are many Christians who have trouble with this Six Day Concept
• There are over 50 Scientists who helped publish a book “In Six Days” expressing why they believe that the Universe was created in 6 days.
• Or was the light created “in transit”?
Were the aging factors built in?
The tree rings and so forth.
• Or were the “days” of Genesis simply geological eras?
• Was “evolution” the mechanism God used?
Strange developments of the 20th century...
• The great discovery of the 20th Century is that we have discovered, we live in a finite universe, and that it can be measured.
--Had a Beginning
• The universe appears to have been expanding, originating from a “singularity” [a four (?) dimensional space compressed to 0 size.]
• Scientist try to explain this by their Big Bang Models
• They say “At first, there was nothing and then it exploded
The “Big Bang” Models
The “Big Bang” Models are an area of continual adjustments, theories, and unprovable hypothesis,
• Steady State Model (was Einstein’s Biggest Mistake)
Einstein admitted that was his biggest mistake
• Hesitation Model (Refuted in the 1960s)
• Oscillation Model space expanded and then retracted (Refuted by entropy laws, lack of mass)
• Inflation Model (the problem with this model is that it requires antigravity forces that have never been observed)
• There is a stretch factor of the universe, it apparently has expanded to a factor of 1012 according to conventional wisdom. Which is based on the temperature of the “Quark Confinement” when matter freezes out energy.
The 16 billion year life cycle of the universe would be an expression of the expansion factor.
The Stretch Factor (re: Dr. Gerald Schroeder a Jewish world famous Nuclear Physicist)
• Wrote a book “Genesis and the Big Bang”
If you take the expansion factor of ~1012 the 16 billion years equals 6 billion, billion days or 6 x 1012 days ÷ 1012 = 6 days!
Exponential expansion
Day 1 would account for 8 billion of those years
Day 2 = 4 billion
Day 3 = 2 billion
Day 4 = 1 billion
Day 5 = 500 million
Day 6 = 250 million
• The expansion factor: ~1012
• 16 billion years x 365 = 6,000,000,000,000 days
• 6 x 1012 days ÷ 1012 = 6 days!
The sum being 16 billion years measured at the perimeter of the universe, according to “Who’s Clock”
• Background Radiation: Initial formation (hadron nucleosynthesis):
10.9 x 1012 k/2.73k (today) = 4 x 1012
• Adam was not on the Earth when God created the universe and God clearly says that it was created in 6 days.
Boundaries of Reality
There are two mathematical concepts that go beyond our physical reality:
Randomness and Infinity:
Our physical universe is a subset of an ultimate set of conditions and length, mass, and time = quantized.

(Proverbs 16:33 The lot is cast into the lap; but the whole disposing thereof is of the Lord.)
• True randomness is an elusive concept, most of us have been trained in Deterministic Models like equations for example (F = ma).

• Stochastic Models includes random variables, the field of Advanced Statistics would be embraced by this area. The best that you can get is Pseudo-Random Numbers which leads to elusiveness

– “Chaos Theory” is not true, randomness is very elusive and hard to control

The Lord is in control, not randomness,
Albert Einstein said God does not play dice, If He did, He’d win.
• Infinity cannot be found in the Universe it is elusive because the universe is finite.
(James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.)
– Macrocosm: Largeness, Finite Universe
– Microcosm: Smallness, found in the study of Quantum Physics, there is a boundary to smallness.
• Smallness 10 to the minus 33 centimeters is the limit to length (10-33 ), if you cut it in half, you no longer have locality, sub-atomic particles have a property that physicists call non-locality.
• We are in a subset of a larger reality, we are bounded by;
Quantum Physics = Smallness and Limited Cosmos = Largeness
• We are in a Virtual Reality of a larger universe
• The whole field of Quantum Physics is based on the discovery that whether you are talking about Length, or Energy, or Mass or Time, all of these things are made up of indivisible units things that you cannot split any smaller.
• Plank Length = 10-33 centimeters
• Plank Time = 1043 seconds
Digital Simulation!
Therefore, we may live in a Digital Simulation! “Reality” is only “virtual.”
Physical Chronometers
• Radiometric Dating, “Carbon 14", etc. is based on assumptions
• Assumed to be based on a known clock rate, and that the clock was set correctly at the beginning, and that the clock was not disturbed during the measuring. It turns out that these are frail assumptions on which to build long estimates of time on.
• Clock set accurately at the beginning.
• The clock must not be disturbed during the measure.
• Uniformitarian Thesis vs Catastrophism
• Uniformitarian, things have always been the way that they are
• Catastrophism, we are a result of past catastrophes, collisions, etc., and the evidence is all in favor of “catastrophism” and all you have to do to convince yourself of that is to get a pair of binoculars and take a look at the Moon and explain how those craters and things happened by “uniformitarian”.
Young Earth Indicators, shows that our Earth is far younger than formerly taught, there are 95 of these indicators listed in Walt Brown’s book.
• Moon Dust:
The lunar surface is exposed to direct sunlight, and strong ultraviolet light and x-rays can destroy the surface layers of exposed rock and reduce them to dust at a rate of a few ten-thousandths of an inch per year. But even this minute amount during the age of the moon could be sufficient to form a layer several miles deep.” (R. A. Lyttleton, astronomer and consultant to NASA, 1956.) Only a few thousand year’s worth
found. Neil Armstrong, Apollo 12, was concerned as he stepped out…
• Earth’s Magnetic Field:
Earth’s magnetic field half-life is calculated to be 1,400 years. Based on measurements taken from 1835 to 1965 estimates an age of less than 10,000 years. If extrapolated back 20,000 years, the Joule heat generated would liquefy the earth. [Thomas G. Barnes, Origin and Destiny of the Earth’s Magnetic Field, Institute for Creation Research, 1983. After revisions for magnetic reversals, etc., Dr. Russell Humphreys confirmed these results. (John D. Morris, The Young Earth, 1994.)]
• Mississippi River Delta:
Approximately 300 million cubic yards of sediment are deposited into the Gulf of Mexico by the Mississippi River each year. Analysis of the volume and rate of accumulation and dividing the weight of the sediments deposited annually, the age of the delta appears to be about 4,000 years old. (Henry M. Morris, ICR.)
• Salinity of the Oceans:
The uranium, sodium, nickel, magnesium, silicon, potassium, copper, gold, molybdenum, and bicarbonate concentrations in the oceans are much less than would be expected if these elements and compounds were being added to the oceans at the present rate for thousands of millions of years. Nitrates and uranium do not break down or recycle like salt. Implies oceans are a few thousand years old.

• Poynting-Robertson Effect (“Solar Janitor”):
• Photons slow down the forward movement of objects in space.
• The solar drag force exerted upon micrometeoroids causes the particles to spiral into the sun.
• The sun is sweeping space at the rate of about 100,000 tons/day. There is no known source of replenishment.
• Their current abundance speaks for a young universe. (Stanley P. Wyatt, Jr. and Fred L. Whipple, “The Poynting-
Robertson Effect on Meteors,” Astrophysical Journal, Vol 3, Jan 1950, p.134-141; David A Weintraub, “Comets in Collision,” Nature, Vol 351, 6 June 1991, p.440-441.)
• Radiohalos: Primordial Polonium 218 has been found in mica and fluorite.
• Polonium 218 has a half-life of only 3 minutes.
• This is evidence of an instantaneous crystallization of the host granite concurrent with the formation of the polonium.
• This speaks of an instantaneous creation.
• Velocity of “C ” Decreasing:
Four of five related atomic properties dependent upon c have demonstrated decrease. Slowing of atomic clocks relative to orbital clocks; if atomic clocks are correct, orbital speeds of Mercury, Venus and Mars are increasing. [William Tifft, University of Arizona: redshift quantized; not “Doppler effect”; could be explained by changes in atomic behavior due to a decrease in c. T. C. Van Flandern, U.S. Naval Observatory: atomic clocks are slowing several parts per billion/year. D. Russell Humphreys: “White Hole” (Black hole in reverse).]
• Quantization of Red Shift:
Distortion of gravity during an early expansion phase. Time stands still at event horizon.
Genesis 1:2
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face
of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
A Hebrew phrase tohu v’bohu = “without form, and void”
There has been a great deal of provocative speculation, the problem is when you get to Isaiah 45:18 you find an interesting verse.
Isaiah 45:18 For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens; God Himself that formed the earth and made it; He hath established it, He created it not in vain, He formed it to be inhabited: I am the Lord and there is none else.
• “created it not ” tohu v’bohu
• There seems to be a contradiction, when ever you see a contradiction, there may be a discovery hidden behind that.
• The other problem with this verse is the word was, this happens to be a transitive verb,
“was”: haya = “became” implies the result of an action
Note: (It may have been that the first Eden “stones of fire” a world of minerals was destroyed due to a war. The second Eden, made for mankind, a “garden”.
• Lots wife became a pillar of salt the same word is used “was”: haya = “became”, it implies a direct action on an object.
A Missing Interval?
The “Gap” Theory (Isaiah 14; and Ezekiel 28)
Genesis 1:1-2
In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. But the earth became
without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And
the Spirit of God hovered over the face of the waters.
• “But” is an adversative conjunction
• Adversative, “But”: LXX & Vulgate, But the earth became without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep.
• And because of this possibility, this is controversial, you don’t necessarily have to buy into this, just be aware of the possibility.
There is a view by some scholars that there is a gap implied between verse 1 and 2.
And the Spirit of God hovered over the face of the waters.
• This was originally suggested by Thomas Chalmers in 1814
Originally suggested by Thomas Chalmers in 1814, it is supported by G. H. Pember, D. G. Barnhouse, G. Campbell Morgan, A. Custance, et al.
• It is highly speculative and controversial, yet seems to link with other passages.
This does raise the possibility to ask;
When did Satan Fall?
• When we get to Genesis chapter three, he is already a fallen creature. But the earth became without form, and void; indicates that there was already a form of judgment imposed.
• When were the angels created?
• Is there a “gap” between v.1 and v.2?
The First quote of God
Genesis 1:3
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
It’s interesting that Light itself is one of the most profound mysteries of science, and the speed of light is usually represented by the letter “C” by tradition.
Velocity of Light?
Measurements of the speed of light in itself is of tremendous controversy.
By the 17th century, Johannes Kepler, Rene Descartes, et al., believed light was instantaneous (“c” was infinite).
• “C ” was infinite by the conventional wisdom of that day.
• Finite speed of light
• In 1677, a Danish astronomer by the name of Olaf Roemer measured the elapsed time between eclipses of Jupiter with its moons, yielding a finite speed of light. He was laughed at for 50 years by the scientist of that time.
• In 1729, 60 years later an Englishman named James Bradley confirmed Roemer’s work.
• Over the next 300 years, the velocity of light was measured 164 times by 16 different methods.
Barry Setterfield over 10 years ago explored this issue and published some papers in this area he was joined by Trevor Norman. They did an analysis, what they did was to gather the raw data from the classic experiments through history and discovered.
Setterfield-Norman Analysis
• 1677, Roemer, the “Io eclipse”:
– 307,600 per second with an error band of +/- 5400 km/sec
• 1875, Harvard, (same method):
– 299,921 per second with an error band of +/- 13 km/sec
• 1983, National Bureau of Standards, using a laser:
– 299,792.4586 per second with an error band of+/- 0.00003 km/sec
(Alan Montgomery’s Cosecant2 Regression:
• Alan Montgomery, a Canadian mathematician, analyzed the data statistically and concluded that the decay of the c follows a cosecant-squared curve with better than a 99% correlation coefficient.

Was light 10-30% faster in the time of Christ?
• 2 times faster in the days of Solomon?
• 4 times faster in the days of Abraham?
• 10 million times as fast prior to 3,000 B.C.
• Confirmatory trends appear in 475 measurements of 11 other atomic quantities by 25 methods in dynamical time.
• Barry Setterfield and Trevor Norman were never acknowledged for their pioneering work in this field after decades of abuse.
• Physicists cling to the notions of their beliefs the same way that Theologians do.

Atomic vs. Orbital Time
The definition of time changed in 1967
Up until 1967, a second of time was defined in terms of 1 earth orbit around the sun:
• Until 1967 (Orbital time): 1 sec = 1/31,556,925.9747 of one earth orbit around the sun. • After 1967 (Atomic time): 1 sec = 9,192,631,770 oscillations of the cesium-133 atom.
• If atomic clocks are “correct,”
• the orbital speeds of Mercury, Venus, and Mars are increasing.
• If the gravitational constant is truly constant, then atomic vibrations and the speed of light are decreasing.
• If a planet’s orbital speed increased it would violate the law of conservation of energy. • If atomic clocks are correct, the gravitational constant should change. No such variations have been detected.
• This has some profound implications upon the very fabric of our reality here.
• If atomic frequencies are decreasing, then five properties of the atom, such as Planck’s constant, should also be changing.
• Statistical studies support both the magnitude and direction of this change.

The Basis of “Hubble’s Law,” Is when the light spectra of stars shifts to the red, and apparently shifts to the red in proportion to its distance away. They have always assumed that was like a Doppler effect.
• Hubble postulated that the redshift is caused by the expanding of the universe, he’s honored by the space telescope named after him.
Doppler Effect: is when a sound coming towards you has a higher pitch than it has when moving away.
• They thought the same thing was happening with light
The Red Shift of Spectra
Hubble postulated that the redshift is caused by the expanding of the universe, he’s honored by the space telescope named after him.
• Halton Arp
• William Tifft
Halton Arp from Germany, and William Tifft, from the University of Arizona, started collecting precise data about the redshift. And they have discovered that some of the marks are well behaved.
William Tifft discovered that the Red Shifts are “Quanti”, they are always a multiple of a definitive number.
• They are like the keys of a piano, you can only get certain keys by hitting the key, unlike a violin were you can get any tone that you want.
• The Red Shift is digital
• Is there quantization of red shift data?
• This may be evidence of a change in the property of space: an atomic effect rather than a recessional velocity effect. That’s just conjecture at this point.
• The whole field of Astronomy has been based upon Hubbles Law and the rug has been pulled out from under that.
but what do you do with the occurrences of aberrant red shifts
Genesis 1:3-5
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light,
that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God
called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and
the morning were the Day One.
Darkness has a property that’s why we have Black Holes
Evening is the word Erev
Morning is the word Boker
• Erev = Obscuration, mixture; (increasing entropy); When encroaching darkness began to deny the ability to discern forms, shapes, and identities; hence:
• Twilight; the time of approaching darkness (Prov 7:9; Jer 6:4)
• Sunset; marking the duration of impurity: when a ceremonially unclean person became clean again (Lev 15)
• The beginning of the Hebrew day.
• Boker
• Boker = Becoming discernable, distinguishable, visible; perception of order; relief of obscurity; (decreasing entropy); attendant ability to begin to discern forms, shapes, and distinct identities; breaking forth of light; revealing; hence:
• Dawn; morning (Gen 19:27; 2 Kgs 10:9)

• We always go from order to disorder
• You have to put energy in to go the other way
• The natural trend is towards entropy
When you take information and add confusion to it, or put some noise into it, it degrades in the direction of entropy.

• Entropy is going upside down
• Maximum is at the bottom of this chart and• Order is at the top
So, Entropy is going downhill and Order is going uphill.
• erev, obscurity, disorder (later, comes to mean “evening”)
• boker, orderly, discernable (later, comes to mean “morning”)
And it’s my suspicion that erev and boker define discreet steps in defining Creation.
• We have the view that there was an event that caused a disruption between the spiritual and physical world.
• When you get to Day 7, the Hebrew translation of that passage in Unger's translation is that God imposed a unified order on the universe on Day 7.
The Firmament = ?
Genesis 1:7, 8
And God made the firmament and divided the waters which were under
the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was
so. And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning
were the second day.
Firmament = raqia
• Hebrew ’raqia: extended surface (it’s a solid), expanse.
• Greek translation, stereoma: means firmness.
• Latin, firmamentum: means a 3-dimensional solidity, firmness, a firm expanse.
That sounds like a contradiction, it’s firm, we would say that it is space, but not empty.
• This may be referring to a plasma state, there is solids, liquids, gases and then plasma.
When we speak of water the suspicion is we are dealing with what is called in rhetoric a synecdoche, often putting the general for the specific or the specific for the general.
• For example:
“She sets a fine table“, you don’t mean literally the table you mean the whole cuisine as an example of rhetoric when we use the specific to mean the general.
“So and so has some neat wheels” meaning he has a nice car.
• When He says water most of us think He’s talking about fluids.
• Most of us think of matter as having three states, gas, liquids, or solids.
• There is a fourth state of matter, Plasma before gases. And the gas, to liquid, to solids
• Solids, liquids, gases and then plasma
• Plasma is where you get disassociated atoms, this may be the view here.
More than a Metaphor?
• Who alone stretches out the heavens (Job 9:8 Which alone spreadeth out the heavens, and treadeth upon the waves of the sea.);
• Stretching out heaven like a tent curtain (Psalms 104:2 Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretches out the heavens like a curtain:);
• Who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in (Isaiah 40:22);
• He has stretched out the heavens (Jeremiah 10:12); The Lord who stretches out the heavens
(Zechariah 12:1 The burden of the word of the Lord for Israel, saith the Lord, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him).
• “Stretching the Heavens”:
2 Samuel 22:10 He bowed the heavens also, and came down; and darkness was under his feet.

Space is not an empty vacuum:
• It can be “torn” (Isaiah 64:1);
“worn out” like a garment ( Psalms 102:25);
• “shaken” (Hebrews 12:26, Haggai 2:6,
• Isaiah 13:13);
• “burnt up” (2 Peter 3:12);
• “split apart” like a scroll (Revelation 6:14);
• “rolled up” like a mantle (Hebrews 1:12)
• or a scroll (Isaiah 34:4).
“Rolled Up?”
• In order for something to be rolled up, there must be a dimension in which it is thin, you can take a map and roll it up because it is thin.
• A two-dimensional map needs a third dimension in order to be rolled up, so this is a hint that there must be another dimension.
• Space can be “bent”
• Then there is a direction it can be bent toward.
Thus, there are additional spatial dimensions

Model of the Atom
The nucleus of an atom is 100,000 times smaller than the atom: equivalent to a pinhead vs. 100 meters—an atom is mostly empty space.

Between these two verses, verse 29 of chapter 1 and verse 9 of chapter 2, is obviously some Hebrew text in which is encrypted the names of 25 (26) trees that are in the Bible. It’s interesting using a computer they discovered that these 25 trees are encrypted, some very shortly every second or third letter, forward or backward. But it’s interesting that these trees are the trees that are mentioned elsewhere in the scripture they are all encrypted underneath the text that deals with the seed-bearing trees. They are clustered underneath the text that is relevant here, so it’s an interesting form of authentication.

• The galaxies that were furthest had to release their light long before the closer galaxies.

This scripture is usually used as the foundation of verse Genesis1:2, the woman here is the nation Israel, so this seems to point to the last days rather than Genesis. Yet, scripture says that Satan walked in the Garden Of Eden (Ezekiel 28:13).

I’m supposing that the earth was without “form and void” because something catastrophic did occur on the Earth. Satan did walk up and down Eden in the stones of fire. A world of minerals?
